Rectory: A glimpse inside the nightmare 1

This is just a fragment of a much larger illustration. For the past several months I've been working solely on a large, full-scale movie poster for 'the Rectory' feature film. I'm in the home-stretch of the poster now, so I'll be posting these smaller fragments (each, about the size of one of my standard illustrations or greater) as we move forward the next week or two until this thing is completed.

This particular fragment is just one part of the frame-work I layed out for the piece. The frame itself is intended to kind of dissolve out of the viewer's focus and not be the primary draw to the eye. But I poured the time into it so that, if the viewer wanted to, they could find literally hundreds of hidden horror gems in the surreal nightmare world that serves as a glimpse within the mind of a certain character in the story
