Micron Inks, Approx 2 hours.
The winning entry for the "Calibano Cartoon Contest" for the 'Cheeky Monkey Sideshow' in DC. I got the info for this 21 hours before deadline & killed that midnight oil.
Here's the contest description;

Nature's Mistake? God's Vengeance? Man's Mistreatment?
Astounding, disturbing and unforgettable!
Once you've seen him, you will never forget
CALIBANO, THE BEAST THAT WALKS LIKE A MAN!
Discovered in the hills of West Virginia, confined to a cage its entire life, and rescued by the Cheeky Monkey Sideshow, that strange and indescribable creature, Calibano, the Beast that Walks Like a Man, will make his debut on Friday, April 18th at the Palace of Wonders.
DO YOU HAVE AN ARTIST'S BENT?
YOU COULD WIN VALUABLE PRIZES!
Enter the CALIBANO CARTOON CONTEST
(it doesn't actually have to be a cartoon--we just like alliteration)
Simply draw, paint, sketch, or digitize your unique idea of what CALIBANO, THE BEAST THAT WALKS LIKE A MAN, looks like, based on the following description:
"[T]he creature looks like it was put together piecemeal, with a kangaroo-like body, a chicken's wing, and teeth like a jackal."
________________________________________
Now from my experience, genuine/authentic freaks of nature (the ones I've actually seen) appear perfectly normal at first and sometimes third glance. The furry-fish for example, but when you look a little closer you notice the disfigurements or mutations that might set the creature apart from 'natural life'. That's what I was trying to accomplish with this piece, it has the body of a Kangaroo, the wing of a chicken, the teeth of a jackal, but I melded the features of all 3 animals as subtly as I could in an effort to make it appear as a natural creature. The only negative I can see is that it isn't exactly 'walking like a man', but I figure it has Kangaroo legs, so that's sort of implied.
EDIT: Tweeked the contrast levels.

I honestly gotta say, with the legs, it's like that optical illusion. The one that has the elephants legs, and you have to count them.
